(Click to Enlarge) I wanted to think outside the box on this assignment and dabbled with the thought previously, but did not really have the push to making it. My favorite band is Marianas Trench and I have seen them in 7 of there concerts. Well of course I collect their merch, but it got to a point where the old styles did not fit my body. I did not want to part with them so I was thinking about making the old shirts into a collage, frame it and put it on my wall. Recycling if you wish to point out. The graphic work with the heart and ribbon was my first shirt ever from my first show seeing Marianas Trench. I did not want to cut that one up, so I used it as a background for the other shirts that I did cut.I liked how it turned out because it is a mixture of words and images but also logos. I feel as though each image pieces well with the other and I enjoy the layout being of a pyramid like structure.
